Sport and nutrition according to your coach, Alexis.
Fitness
For me, physical culture is much more than a simple sporting activity that consists of doing your workout and drinking your protein at the end.
It's much more. From the moment I discovered this world, I immediately understood that this sport wouldn't stop once I'd reached a certain goal. It's the practice of a lifetime, striving for perfection in my eyes, the most beautiful version of my body. Both aesthetically and mentally.
I'll say it again and again. "Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will our bodies be built in a day".
The lifestyle that drives me and that I want to share, helps me to feel a little more in harmony with my body every day, and to gain more self-confidence. And to feel good mentally. When my session starts... nothing gets to me, I become resistant to all the negative emotions I might feel in the course of a day. The one and only concentration I maintain is the connection between my brain and my body in order to feel the best sensations during my training. It's my best treatment for stress.
The essentials of sport.
If I had to sum up my conception of physical culture in several parts, it would be this,
- Building self-confidence
- Reinforce your mental strength
- Increase your chances of good health
- Develop a harmonious physique that pleases and suits you
- Challenge yourself mentally and physically at every training session
- Adopt behaviour that respects yourself, your body and those around you
Nutrition.
It is said that in bodybuilding and "aesthetic" sports, nutrition accounts for 80% of results. I don't like to set percentages for nutrition and training. In my opinion, both are important. You can't build a strong, harmonious body without targeted, intense training. But it's also very difficult, if not impossible, if we follow an unbalanced diet that's not adapted to our body's different needs.
That's why I prefer to look at nutrition as a complementary element to sport, with the aim of improving health. Today, the global obesity rate continues to rise, reaching 13% in 2016 ( World Health Organization data). The risks associated with a lack of physical activity and excess weight are well documented. Without pretending to help everyone. My main dream is to be able to share my knowledge and passion to as many people as possible.
There's absolutely no point in acquiring knowledge if you can't share it.
The essentials of nutrition.
As for nutrition, if I had to sum up my point of view, it would be this,
- Increase your health and fitness levels.
- Adopt eating habits that meet your needs without frustrating yourself.
- Know and understand the basics of nutrition for your own personal knowledge, and use them to practice physical fitness and improve your body's harmony.
